The Farm

Alex and I took Matthew to one of the many great city parks that Fort Collins has.  The one we went to is called "the farm" and it has pony rides and lots of farm animals for petting.  The baby animals were so cute and Matthew LOVED riding the pony. 

That serious look usually means that he is having a really good time.

Wild Animal Sanctuary

Matthew and I went to a local Wild Animal Sanctuary yesterday.  They rescue predators and then house them on huge acres of land.  There is a 1+ mile long walk way that is above the animals.  I really enjoyed taking pictures and I think Matthew had fun too.

"Yippee!  We're really gonna go this time!!  Yippee!"

Good Friends!

I am always so excited when friends visit us.  My friend Jenny and her husband Chris were in town and we had a great time together in the mountains.  We even talked them into learning to ski.

strange sleeper

Petunia continues to be a very strange sleeper.... 

This is Petunia's new favorite way to sleep in the car.  She doesn't fit behind the seat in the back so I have to put her in the front.  About every week or so she finds some strange new way to position herself.  Silly girl!!

Dog VS. Cat

Petunia has actually been slowly improving in her house behavior.  She can now have a bit of freedom and doesn't have to be tied to my waist all the time.  She does still however love to torture our cat Bree!  She chased her out on to the porch and then wouldn't let her back in.

"What?  I'm just laying here and chatting with her.... Really.... she's fine... I'm not doing anything I swear."

Easter Egg Hunts

This was Matthew's fist Easter when he could partially enjoy the many activities of the season.  On the Saturday before Easter we went to a local sports store for an Easter Egg Hunt.  We were late so most of the Eggs were gone by the time we got there.  Matthew didn't care at all about the Eggs... All he wanted to do was gather large rocks.   Then on Sunday we hid Eggs in our backyard and all went out in our PJ's to find eggs with jelly beans and peanut butter cups in them.  He had a blast!

"Where are all the eggs mom?"

"Forget Eggs... Check out this cool rock!!"

He filled his basket full of rocks and tried to lift it and carry it around.  Too Cute!

"I found an Egg..... and OMG it has candy in it!!!"

"I wonder what this one has in it?"

"yippee!!!  Two more!!"

Alex's Mom visited us for a week and she and Matthew had fun watering the flowers. 

Matthew got a new helmet and he just LOVES it!!  He wears it all the time and insists on having it on when he gets on his tricycle.
