There's a blessing and a detriment to having really calm, well behaved dogs. I felt the same way about my Freya; she'd never grow up, it would be a miracle if she graduated, etc. But when I saw her in harness I was almost ashamed of thinking those things. It might just be Freya, but high energy can also mean intense. When they go back in for training those dogs turn their intense from playing to focusing. It really was amazing to watch her work. Don't give up with Petunia because I'm sure you'll experience that same amazement when you see her in harness.
I think you should submit the second to last picture to the GDB calendar. :)
