Museums

Last weekend Alex took Matthew to the National History Museum in Denver while I was on call and busy in the hospital.  They had a great time. 

This weekend alex worked night shifts so he was sleeping during the day.   So Matthew and I went to the Denver Aquarium.  

Matthew loved walking up to the tanks and waving "Hi" to the fish.

This was one of his favorite spots... he loved looking down on the pretty salt water fish. 

I think he enjoyed climbing up on the ledges as much as he liked looking at the fish.

Look how proud he is to have Daddy's shoes on.  You should see him walk in them. 

And of course he likes to walk in Mommy's slippers too. 

Sleeping silly again!

If you read my blog often you saw the recent post of Petunia sleeping upright.  Not only does she sleep in weird positions in the house but she does it in the car too.

I don't know who that can be comfortable!  She stayed like that for about an hour!

She was naughty at work again.  She pulled items off the top shelf of my book shelf and tried to eat them so she didn't get to stay on a tie down.  She spent the rest of the day in her kennel in my office.  She looks so sad.

Vroom Vroom

We were at Toys R Us the other day and we let Matthew play with the toy car they have there.   He loved it!

Sill Boy

Matthew had so much fun climbing into his diaper box.  At one point he had his whole body in the box.

Sleeping Standing Up

Petunia barely ever stops moving.  When she does decide to sleep... she really sleeps.  She even will sleep standing up while we watch TV with her head resting on my legs.

Apparently my Moose pajamas make for a nice pillow. 

A bit later she used the cough to keep her up.  She will sleep like this until we get up. 

Oh Petunia!!

I keep thinking that petunia is going to grow up.... This past wednesday I got up at 5 am and went to the basement to work out. Petunia was asleep on a tie down in her bed. I thought she would be ok alone for my 30 minute work out.... Oh how wrong I was! Below is what I found when I came back upstairs. I am not even sure where she found the cassette tape.

We spent the weekend at a friend's condo in frisco with the intention of skiing.... Alas... We were all really sick so we did mostly sitting instead of skiing. I took Matthew out in the snow for a short walk.

Bonnet

Petunia was being a stink this morning and I couldn't get her beat on her. So we got in the car and it ended up on her head as a bonnet. The second photo is her chosen sleeping position. What a goof!

Dryer

Matthew was helping me do the laundry today when he climbed into the dryer.  I couldn't resist taking some pictures of the silly boy.

A Fun Sunday!

I had a fun photo filled Sunday and I thought I would share a few pictures. 

Matthew has discovered playdough and LOVES it!  He is super happy in this picture because daddy came downstairs.  

He then got all shy.. silly boy!

 This morning I got up early (5am) and went up to RMNP again to snowshoe.  I went to emerald lake this time.  You have to pass dream lake to get there.  For the first time ever there was no wind at the top.

If you look really hard in this picture you will see two black spots in the snow... those are people headed up to the glacier. 

On the way home we passed a pack of coyotes.  One stopped on the side of the road to take a poop!

Later in the afternoon Alex, Matthew and I played in the snow in the backyard.

Nap time

Shortly before nap time today Matthew crawled into an empty diaper box. He would crawl all the way in and then lay there and scream. I would pull him out and then he would crawl back in and scream again. He eventually just laid half in the box and half out.

Opportunities

Petunia knows that is not suppose to eat people food. But turn your head for a second or blink your eyes and she will snag any food she can find. Thankfully my toddler helps give us lots of opportunities to work on this issue.
The other night I kept moving petunia out of the kitchen but I would blink and she would be back by Matthew's side hoping he drops some of his corn for her to try and snag before I notice.

Matthew and I went to my friend Deborah's for her daughters birthday and Matthew loved playing the piano and eating ice cream.

Petunia

I am not sure that Petunia will ever grow up.  She is so good on outings but still has the worst house manners EVER!  No matter what we do she doesn't change.   We did have fun in the snow today though.
