catch up

Its really hard to find time to blog since I've gone back to work.  i just haven't had time to take any pictures or post them.  Here are a few random videos and pictures I've taken of Vigo and Matthew over the past few weeks.

Matthew out at our favorite pizza place.

It's hard to cover up in bed at night when your covers are under a 60 pound puppy that really doesn't want to get up.

Alex likes to go on drives with matthew to relax.  This past week they went up to the Shambala Center and Matthew got to visit his first Buddhist temple.

For Grandma Johns

My mom has missed me posting pictures every day of her grandson.  Being back at work just doesn't leave me much time for taking pictures.  Yesterday it was snowing out early in the morning when Matthew and I were headed out so I bundled him up and before we left I snapped a few blurry pictures of the cute bundle for Grandma.

Sorry its sideways, my computer was being silly and wouldn't change it.

I don't usually dress Matthew up for the Babysitters but it was snowing out so I felt compelled to put a sweater on him.

Random shots

The best thing I have bought ever off of craig's list is a bouncy chair that had never been used.  We put matthew in it and bounce it with our feet and falls right asleep.  We even put it on the couch next to us or on the table while we are eating.  Lately he likes to sleep on his stomach but we only let him do it next to us while we are watching him.  His favorite place to sleep on his tummy is in his bouncy chair.

Sleepy baby on a snowy saturday

Miss Prima spent the day with us on Saturday and this is the only time she laid down.  She is a very energetic 4 month old puppy!

Vigo's first snow

It snowed for the first time this year this week.  Vigo was at the co-raisers house for the week so I didn't get to see him enjoy it.  Brianna told me though that he was really afraid at first and wouldn't go out into it.  He eventually got the hang of it though and seemed to enjoy it.  By today (Saturday) it didn't seem to bother him at all.  He came over to play with Prima - a 4 month old puppy we are sitting for the day.  Below are some pictures that Brianna took of Vigo enjoying his first snow.

"I'm not going out into that wet cold stuff!"

sniff...  sniff... sniff.... "are you sure... I don't think I want to go"

"alright.... so maybe this stuff isn't too bad after all"
On a side note, can you believe how big Vigo is getting?
And he is only 7 months.... he is going to be huge!

Puppy Time

It's been awhile since I blogged because I started back to work this week and have had a spare second to even think about blogging.  After only two days of work I'm exhausted beyond belief and am counting the seconds till the weekend.  My first day back to work was harder than I thought it would be.  Handing my son to a stranger and walking away for the day make my stomach roll and my eyes fill with tears.  Work was... well... work.... same crap, different day.  But that being said, I could never be a housewife and some small part of me enjoys being back on the job.  On a positive note, its is snowing for the first time this year. It is coming down hard and in big fluffy flakes and is absolutely beautiful.

Tonight was our monthly guide dog meeting and our region leader came to the meeting.  We worked on getting the dogs use to their gentle leaders and we practiced getting them to walk over a "scary" obstacle.  Here are a few pictures for the night.

Barb shows us how to work with the puppies and their collars.

A very cute and calm Rhubarb.  Is 3/4 lab and 1/4 golden - a rare cross from Guide Dogs.

Farrah is not thrilled about the new collar and is rolling all over the place.

Tried so hard

Yesterday was Halloween and Alex was a work.... so I took the opportunity to play with my camera and my boys.  I tried so hard to get some good pictures of Vigo and Matthew together in their Bee costumes, but alas... Matthew kept falling asleep and Vigo would let Matthew sit close to him.  I think he was either afraid of him in his costume or we did such a good job of teaching him that Matthew isn't a toy that he didn't want to touch him.  I did get a few silly shots though that I thought I would share.

This is as close as I could them them without Vigo running away.

A sleepy smiley Bee

What do you do with a sleepy baby.... Play, while he doesn't mind.

A pile of squishy, hugable, lovable things

Bzzzzz

So Handsome!

"Dear God...... please let her stop taking pictures of me in this silly costume.... It's soooo humiliating.  Thanks!"
